A "major" event to swing the election?

With the DNC saying that the current administration has already caught bin laden or have something up their sleeve to sway the election outcome is a move of desperation. I'm not saying President Bush is a shoe in, however I do believe that there is the potential for something to happen and it will be more than just coincidence or a conspiracy theory. Common sense says, if you already have the tie breaker, why wait to reveal it? Just come out and say you have it and seal the election. Whether it was one day or one year before and election, any candidate would have a hard time ousting a sitting president if something like that was presented to the people. The reason the DNC is saying they believe the Bush administration already has something, is because they want people to forget or at least cloud what they know in case something does happen. The probability of terrorists getting sloppy or dropping the ball and being more susceptible to getting caught is higher now more than ever. The reason being is election time is right around the corner and they may be rushing to pull something off like they did in Spain. If the DNC can cloud the issue according to plan, it would be much easier to convince people to believe the RNC was withholding or planning something all along. All the skeptics and the conspiracy theorists will then say "ah hah!!!! I knew it was to coincidental and the DNC was right" if the DNC can pull it off. On the other hand, if we do find bin laden or wmd's or whatever, and god forbid the Bush administration actually looks like it was doing something right, it would be a devastating blow to the Kerry campaign. The DNC knows this and that is why they are launching this "preemptive strike". Politically speaking it's common sense: know what can make or break you. For the things that can make you, boast them to anyone who will listen
and build on them like nobody's business. Things that can break you? Discredit them in advance and deny them any credibility when they emerge. If a terrorist act is thwarted, I wouldn't be surprised if the DNC said it was staged.
