Always Somethin'

A rant about life and everything it entails. In other words whatever comes my way.

Name:
Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States

I'm me. I just recently found that out. I have done many things in life, worked many jobs, and hung with many different types of people. I have seen a lot, but know I can see more. I sum it up like this; I'm a musician, I'm also a prepper, I'm also a martial artist, I also write, I teach, and I help people. Im a dreamer and a drifter and serious and stable. Refined yet rugged and wild yet conservative. Outspoken yet quiet and shy and outgoing.I;m also a husband and a father. There's more, this is just what I feel right now.

Another post debate blog.......what a shock!!!!

I listen to many radio programs, I don't know maybe I like to keep hearing the same thing over and over again. Regardless, on my favorite show the host has been bringing up topics that will never be heard on any of these debates. He comes up with these topics because they aren't as "PC" or anything like what the liberal commentators would write. . They are the meat and potatoes of issues facing this great nation, well in the eyes of people like myself who are not constantly looking for a government handout. I don't know if the commentators listened to the show, or if because its the last debate they broke out the "heavy artillery", or because CBS needs to prove they are "not" biased, just misunderstood. The topic wasn't abortion or socialized healthcare, it was IMMIGRATION. I admit I was watching the debate half heartedly because they were saying the same ol thing, blah blah blah, but when I heard the host bring up immigration I was literally floored. Maybe they were listening to the show I listened to and they thought they could gain better ratings from this debate by asking crazy questions. Although most questions were dumb, I mean how are either candidate supposed to know if being gay is a choice, come on. Well regardless, the question I wanted asked most, (and it wasn't just me because the host had a poll and immigration was the winner of the question most people wanted asked) was not answered good by EITHER candidate. I do agree with President Bush for the simple fact that I don't want open borders, and Senator Kerry does. I know this country was built on immigrants, but we have major internal problems and the current immigration system is not helping. It brings me to a funny story, a few years ago, in college, during a debate on immigration, someone said I shouldn't have the view I have because I wouldn't be here in the United States. I begged to differ for this simple fact, my great great grandparents came over here LEGALLY. Hence I would still be here if what I pushed for was enforced. Years ago, during the great reign of the "Slick WIllie" years, "when there was no immigration problem", I was still steamed about this topic and this is why, my best friends parents, and many many family members came over LEGALLY. What's so hard about doing it right and not having to look over your back all the time. You would enjoy what America has to offer way more as a citizen than a criminal, because that's what I think they are. All I ask is that illegals get deported, there are very stiff fines for the companies that hire them, including jail time, and it be just a wee bit harder for people to get across the border illegally. A huge wall on the border doesn't sound like a bad idea right now. Obviously it's too easy to get in illegally, from the bridges in Texas that you can just simply walk across, or the places that are unguarded to where a bunch of Chechyn Terrorists can backpack their way across the mountains and into Arizona. Maybe we to see another terrorist attack and find out the terrorists came to the country illegally, then we will have the gall to get tough on our border policy.
